Additional Xbox 360 Intercooler TS Information

Utilize Nyko¿s cutting edge TempSmart technology to keep your Xbox 360 console running at optimal environmental conditions with the Intercooler TS. The Intercooler TS provides increased air flow away from the 360 which allows the console to perform in a cooler, better ventilated environment ideal for cramped entrainment centers. No internal modification of the Xbox 360 is required. Nyko¿s TempSmart technology automatically powers on the Intercooler¿s fans when needed, and continue to cool the console even after the system has been powered down till a proper ambient temperature has been reached. The Intercooler TS is powered by a sleek AC adaptor, requiring no batteries or USB cables, allowing for a clean and easy installation, perfect for any home entertainment set up. The design of the Intercooler TS blends seamless with the design of the Xbox 360 console, and works in both the horizontal and vertical position.

What Customers Say About Xbox 360 Intercooler TS:

i bought this 3 months ago as of july 7th and its been working great. i was very hesitant to buy a intercooler but this has its own power supply so that was my first sign to buy it. secondly as you know has a temperature gauge so it will turn on and off when needed (stays on the whole time your xbox s on (obviously) and even when your xbox is turned off stays on for at least a minute or until all of the hot air is out and your xbox is cooled off. buy it you wont regreat it and will save you the headache o f sending it into microsoft for the rrod

However it is a little loud. This product does keep my xbox a great deal cooler. And every now and then when it kicks on it makes this crazy squeel like one of its fans is having trouble spinning. Alot cooler. I am not as worried about extended gaming sessions. But I just unplug it then plug it back in and it runs fine. If it werent for that I would give it a perfect score.

Weird design, though, with 2 large fans, and a dinky fan at the bottom.LONG VERSIONI had the intercooler EX for about 4 days with excellent results (I got it on clearance, decided why not for 10 bucks). when I put my hand on the side after a couple hours of gameplay with the EX, it was really cool, barely warm at one spot (where I'm assuming is the location of the CPU that obviously gets very hot). I highly recommend buying this for your 360. The TS is very quiet, and still does an excellent job of cooling the xbox as opposed to no fans at all. QUICK VERSION:In my experience, the intercooler EX did a better job of cooling the xbox, but was much louder. I guess that's the trade off. I think it's because of 3 good medium-sized fans as opposed to two very large fans and a tiny, dinky one at the bottom (design-wise makes no sense to me). It does a good job, but to me, it seems the EX did a better job of cooling.

it's still a whole lot better than with nothing, but performance-wise not as good as the EX, at least with my experience. So, I got the new TS which has its own power supply. The intercooler TS is better for the xbox, though, because it doesn't use the xbox's power supply (the EX has been known to cause RRODs by putting strain on the motherboard, because it was stealing power from the power brick that the xbox apparently needs every last drop of power from). with the TS, it's slightly warm everywhere. I was doing some research online, after reading a bad comment on it, and found out it was prone to actually doing damage to the xbox because it puts strain on it from a lack of power. I have to say, it looks nice. It IS a WHOLE lot quieter, though than the EX . overall, excellent product.

Nice product for xbox 360 to keep cool. Quieter than previous intercooler & also safer. Smart LED Storm 360

CONS: It restricts the original airflow. PROS: This fan will keep running till the heat is dissipated from your XBOX360 even after its turned off. I liked this design better than the last because this doesn't use the power from the XBOX's power supply. Maybe next model will do that.

With that additional airflow comes a little more fan noise, which isn't noticeable while playing games with sound up, but if its just a quiet room, no game playing, it's noticeable. It works as it says it does. So the console will actually heat up quicker, till the fans kick on from the temp sensor. It might only add 5% air movement, but between the 2 fan solutions, I've noticed the XBOX360 has stayed cooler, which as everyone knows is a great thing. Awesome feature.

Not really bad a thing as its designed to kick on before the heat is even close to being damaging but it'd be nicer to have some way of noticing the console is even on and then just start running immediately and then keep running tills its cooled off as powering off. I'd say 25% combined improvement with both running. It does add additional airflow, about 20% I'd say. Suggestions: Buy a base cooling station as well. It's like a bulb in a projector, you dont want to just turn everything off and leave it with no cooling then.

That's how stuff gets damaged sooner than later. It will pull air from the bottom to circulate through the XBOX. Worth buying in my opinion, especially with the minor monetary investment.
